Abstract:
How can we as educators use technology to its greatest
benefit to improve the performance of our students?
This session will provide the Tech-10 classroom tested
principles and strategies that will utilize the technology
in the classroom to its greatest potential. The
Tech-10 can help further enhance daily instruction to
benefit student achievement. Participants will be
assisted in the challenge of taking educational technology
to the next logical step and the creation of their own
"teaching machines." Attendees will be able to move
from simply using computer basics such as PowerPoint and
Word as a glorified overhead and typewriter to
effectively utilizing technology to enhance instruction and
student performance. The presentation will also
assist teachers in meeting the NETS Educational
Technology Standards and Performance Indicators for All
Teachers. Examples of strategies, lessons,
and free materials are provided on this site free of
charge for attendees and their colleagues. |
